Bridal Fashion: The Groom | By Erin McLean Events
The majority of people view a wedding as a formal event and think that men should wear a black tux. The truth is, the options for the groom are as vast as they are for the bride. You need to ask yourself: what is the feel of your wedding? Is it rustic, formal, classic, casual, traditional? From there you will know what kind of style would be appropriate, then you can accessorize! Do you prefer ties, bowties, neither?
Do you like suspenders?
Do you want him to wear a vest?
You also need to think about your wedding theme and color scheme. If you haven't picked your flower or decor, try to have an idea of what colors you will likely have the bouquet and boutonnieres, this is a good thing to factor in when choosing the color of the suit. Like what you see? Don't forget to PIN IT for later!
It is usually easier once you see photos to know what sort of look you like in terms of style, color, accessories and boutonnieres. Bridal fashion isn't just for the ladies. It is just as important that the groom feels confident and well dressed on the special day too.
Don't forget to check back next Monday for our the next instalment in our Bridal Fashion series. It is a post on bridal fashion for the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen!
